Michael Howard

Alumni

Michael is a chemical engineer researching the ways to manipulate soft matter and complex fluids, especially out of equilibrium or under flow, to design advanced materials. He employs state-of-the-art multiscale simulations on massively-parallel, high-performance computers to study the behavior of soft matter across length and time scales spanning orders of magnitude. He is also an open-source scientific software developer specializing in accelerating applications on graphics processing units (GPUs).
