Dr. Mukherjee is from Kolkata, India. After completing his undergraduate studies at the ‘University of Calcutta’, he joined the ‘Indian Institute of Science’ (IISc) for his graduate studies. In IISc, he worked in the field of luminescent organic and organometallic small molecules under the supervision of Professor P. Thilagar. He also spent some time in the ‘University of Wurzburg’, working as a visiting student with Professor Todd B.

Dr. Mukherjee is from Kolkata, India. After completing his undergraduate studies at the ‘University of Calcutta’, he joined the ‘Indian Institute of Science’ (IISc) for his graduate studies. In IISc, he worked in the field of luminescent organic and organometallic small molecules under the supervision of Professor P. Thilagar. He also spent some time in the ‘University of Wurzburg’, working as a visiting student with Professor Todd B. Marder and Professor Andreas Lorbach on organometallic boracycles.

After completing his PhD in January of 2016, he joined Purdue University's department of Chemical Engineering to work with Professor Bryan W. Boudouris. He gained experience working with polymers and stable radical-based materials.

In November of 2017, he joined UCSB where he now works with Professor Christopher M. Bates and Professor Michael Chabinyc in the field of bottlebrush polymers.
