Benny Freeman Receives the Billy and Claude R. Hocott Distinguished Centennial Engineering Research Award

"Lynn Katz has been selected to be the 2024-25 AEESP Distinguished Lecturer. This is among the most prestigious awards in the Environmental Engineering and Sciences field, and Lynn was recognized for a long career with many accomplishments in different areas of Environmental Engineering and Science. Only one person is selected for this award each year from applications submitted worldwide. The list of previous AEESP Distinguished Lecturers reads like a who’s who in the field, and we are so proud to see Lynn receive this recognition." (Benny D. Freeman)

Raphäel Clément wins The Camille & Henry Dreyfus Foundation's 2024 Camille-Dreyfus Teacher-Scholar Award.

Professor Lynn Katz wins The University of Texas at Austin Civitatis Award. The Civitatis Award was established in 1997 to recognize outstanding faculty citizenship.

Benny D. Freeman will be presented with the AIChE Division Award for Excellence in Materials Engineering and Science at the 2023 AIChE Annual Meeting in November.

The National Academy of Engineering (NAE) has elected 106 new members and 18 international members, announced NAE President John L. Anderson today. This brings the total U.S. membership to 2,420 and the number of international members to 319.  

Rachel Segalman has been elected an American Institute of Chemical Engineers (AIChE) Fellow.

Associate Director Professor Rachel Segalman receives one of the American Institute of Chemical Engineers’ (AIChE) most prestigious prizes, the Andreas Acrivos Award for Professional Progress in Chemical Engineering.

Associate Director Professor Rachel Segalman is the recipient of the 2021 Ernst Orlando Lawrence Award in Condensed Matter and Materials Science, the DOE’s highest scientific honor.
